Berlusconi not planning to sell AC Milan
ROME — Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi says he has no intention of selling AC Milan and hopes David Beckham returns to the club.
Speaking at a meeting in Sofia with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov on Thursday, Berlusconi told the Apcom news agency he “never had any intention of selling Milan, because it’s not an economic issue” but rather “one that is close to our hearts.”
Albanian oil tycoon Rezart Taci recently said he was prepared to purchase Milan for $1 billion.
Asked about the possibility of another loan deal for the former England captain, Berlusconi said he hopes Beckham returns to Milan.
