McCourt attorneys back in court over reinstatement
LOS ANGELES — Jamie McCourt’s attorneys are back in a Los Angeles courtroom seeking her reinstatement as chief executive of the Dodgers after she was fired by her husband and team owner Frank McCourt.
A court commissioner is hearing arguments Thursday about whether Jamie McCourt should be given her job back because of her claims that she co-owns the Dodgers. She also wants more than $300,000 in spousal support and perks such as travel by private jet if she’s reinstated.
Jamie McCourt filed for divorce last month. The couple had been married for 30 years.
Frank McCourt says he fired his estranged wife because she was having an affair with her bodyguard and doing a poor job.
Attorneys say the McCourts will not attend the hearing.
