HAUS IM ENNSTAL, Austria — Marion Rolland of France posted the fastest time Thursday in a World Cup downhill training, while Lindsey Vonn was third.
Rolland charged down the Krummholz course in 1 minute, 42.18 seconds to beat Maria Holaus of Austria by 0.2 seconds. Vonn, the overall World Cup champion, has been hampered by a bruised bone in her arm.
Vonn and Riesch were among the early starters who raced in snowfall. Vonn has won both previous downhill events this season.
The meet in Haus im Ennstal, Austria, starts with a downhill on Friday. Another downhill is set for Saturday and a super-G on Sunday.
