Florschuetz wins 2-man bobsled World Cup race
KOENIGSSEE, Germany — Thomas Florschuetz of Germany has earned his first victory of the season by edging teammate and Olympic champion Andre Lange in a two-man World Cup race.
Florschuetz and new brakeman Richard Adjei-Otto had an aggregate time of 1 minute, 38.17 seconds Saturday to beat Lange and partner Kevin Kuske by five-hundredths of a second.
Beat Hefti of Switzerland was third. Lange and Hefti both set a course record by clocking 49.00 seconds in the second run. Christoph Langen of Germany set the old mark of 49.34 seconds six years ago.
World Cup leader Ivo Rueegg of Switzerland was fourth.
