ABU DHABI - Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur, the only two Indians to make the cut, had a disappointing finish as they dropped a double bogey each on their last hole in the third round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship here Saturday.

Both shot 72 each and were placed at two-under in 54th place, two better than second day.

Jeev, starting on the tenth, was two under after 17 holes but then dropped a double on the ninth. He had birdies on tenth, 18th and second and his only other bogey was the 16th.

Kapur, who was four-under on first day, looked good at three-under for his first seven holes after starting on the tenth. But thereafter his putts did not drop. He dropped a shot on second but got that back with a birdie on sixth.

Then as he was looking to move up well, he had a bogey on eighth and a double bogey on ninth for a 72 that dropped him down to 54th.

Jyoti Randhawa and SSP Chowrasia missed the cut earlier Friday.

Martin Kaymers bid for a second Abu Dhabi Golf Championship title gathered pace as the German took a slender one shot lead after the third round. Kaymer was a picture of consistency as he shot a third successive 67 to be 15-under for three days.

Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter will start the final round as Kaymers nearest challengers after both carded rounds of 67 to share second place on 14 under. Overnight leader Rick Kulacz sot a 73 and dropped to tied eighth at 11-under.
