Although Jo-Wilfried Tsonga had been really upbeat after beating Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic in the quarter-final clash, he could not do much as Roger Federer appeared to be in one of his most dominant forms. It took the Swish tennis champion a mere 88 minutes to bring Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s Australian Open dream to an end as he registered a straight set win over the Frenchmen.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga hardly got any opportunity to bring the match under his control as the Swish ace tennis star continued to dominate throughout the match. While reacting to his victory, Roger Federer later added that he was delighted to have made it to the finals. The pro tennis player also stated that while playing with the top players, it was important to gain control of the match in the first set itself.
Roger Federer would be clashing against Andy Murray during Sunday’s Australian Open final and if the top seeded player manages to emerge victorious in the much anticipated finale, this would mark his fourth Australian Open triumph. Scottish player Andy Murray defeated Croatian Marin Cilic during the other semi-final showdown to ensure his slot in the final clash. Meanwhile, in order to win his 16th Grand Slam title, Roger Federer would surely have to come up with new tactics to defeat the Scottish player.
