No. 8 West Virginia beats Marquette 69-56

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Korinne Campbell scored a career-high 21 points, and No. 8 West Virginia beat Marquette 69-56 on Saturday night to finish a perfect 17-0 at home this season.

Up five points, West Virginia (26-3, 13-2 Big East) opened the second half on a 20-6 run, constantly finding open players under the basket for easy buckets. Asya Bussie scored seven of her eight points on the run that put the Mountaineers up 51-32 with 12:39 left in the game.

Angel Robinson paced Marquette (14-14, 5-10) with 11 points. Marquette fell for the fifth straight time and the seventh time in its last eight games.
