KOLKATA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Kolkata Knight Riders keeps their winning streak alive as they over powered Royal challengers Bangalore by a glorious win by 7 wickets with 4 balls still remaining to be bowled. Jack Kallis who made a valiant 65 and remained unbeaten was a show stealer in the Bangalore Innings. Except for Jack Kallis, no other middle order batsman looked promising. The KKR vs RCB match has witnessed all throughout the game a complete dominance of the Kolkata Knight Riders over the royal challengers Bangalore except for Jack Kallis. Absence of a worthy partner on the other side made a huge difference between the two teams.
Earlier in the KKR vs RCB match, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and they had elected to field first. Quite a dicey play when it comes to playing at Kolkata, where the pitch is an important factor. From the Kolkata Knight Riders side, AD Mathews was the shining amongst all bowlers with 4 wickets in this bag and that too at a economy rate of 4.65 only. Coming to bowl on a later phase Murli Kartik even managed to pick up two crucial wickets which staggered the gameplay thus making it way for the Kolkata Knight Riders to chase a total of 136 in 20 overs.
The KKR vs RCB match had both the Kolkata Knight Riders openers, BJ Hodge and MK Tiwary scoring half centuries each out of 45 and 29 balls respectively. RE Marwe got rid of the opening duo. Saurav Ganguly contributed a blazing 23 out of 22 balls . The innings included one boundary and a huge sixer.
