Frozen Four: Boston College Proceeds

WORCESTER (GaeaTimes.com)- NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament is racing towards its climax and with each and every passing game fans are holding their breath to see the final winner. On Sunday, Boston College advanced to Frozen Four by defeating Yale University team. The Boston College team was able to put forward 9-7 win over Yale in the Northeast Regional Final. The excitement was however maintained all through the game as it was never an easy call for the Boston College.

It seemed that the Boston College team was all determined to put on fire the icy court with their amazing show of ice hockey. While Cam Atkinson did a brilliant job with 3 goals and assisting one, Joe Whitney did not lay behind and contributed two major goals to his team’s score as did Jimmy Hayes. Joe Whitney provided two assists and Brian Gibbons had one assist and one goal. John Muse on Sunday played his role well and managed 32 saves. On the part of the Yale University team, Mark Arcobello contributed three goals while Brian O’Neill contributed two and Broc Little and Denny Kearney scored one each. Though the Yale team tried their best to make it to the Frozen Four, it seemed destined for the Boston College who would make their 9th appearance in the Frozen Four in thirteen seasons.

After the Sunday’s game the coach of the Boston College said that the objective of the team is always to win and proceed in the game. The players on Sunday seemed to glide on the ice and scored some fast points for the team and when asked Joe Whitney mentioned that the players were excited about the game. This was evident from their show, and their high energy level paid them well with the final reservation in the Frozen Four.
