LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Percy Miller, better known as Lil’ Romeo to many, announced yesterday that he has put an end to his basketball career with the UFC. Percy Miller had appeared in a total of nine games for the UFC, out of which three were played in the past season. The player had been out of game right after he suffered a sprain on his shoulder during the past season. Though no reasons have been provided by the officials of his team, it is being reported that Percy Miller quit on grounds of personal reasons and did not feel the need to discuss them with the UFC.
Being the son of rap mogul Master P, Percy Miller was a musician and a stage performer himself. In fact the stage is where he earned the title of Lil’ Romeo. Prior to playing with the UFC for which he has scored a total of five points and also three rebounds and an assist, the Romeo was the sophomore guard at the Beverly Hills High School.
In a news release issued on Friday, Kevin O’Neill, the coach of the UFC Trojans Men’s Basketball team, said that it was true that Percy Miller was no longer a part of the UFC school. The player is quitting after a brief career of only 19 games and it is now being said that he was better off in his role of actor and musician. Many who have dug into the past are now recalling the circumstances under which Percy Miller was brought into the team in the first place. Nobody can forget the big controversy surrounding the selection of Lil’ Romeo by Tim Floyd, the ex-coach of the UFC.
