NEW JERSEY (GaeaTimes.com)- The Super Bowl is going to be held in New Jersey in 2014, the NFL organizers have declared. This means that the most popular game in US sports will be held adjacent to Philadelphia. This is going to be an exception in the history of NFL as the 2014 Super bowl will be played in a stadium that does not have a closed roof. This also means the players will have to play in cold weather. The bid led by the Jets and Giants won over other contenders like Tampa and Florida. Roger Goodell the NFL Commissioner seemed pretty enthusiastic about the prospect of holding the game in New York. It will definitely add glitz to the event the NFL veterans feel.

Earlier the coldest game in the NFL history was played in New Orleans for the Super Bowl VI. The game will take place in the new Meadowlands stadium that has been developed at the cost of $1.6 billion. It is quite clear that the 2014 super bowl will be held in New Jersey but several promotional events related to the game will take place in New York. It is too early to say how this will affect the players. It is obvious that the entire region of New Jersey will gain financially from the Super Bowl.

Some NFL veterans thought that Miami will be selected for holding the Super Bowl XLVIII since in the past it has been selected several times. However, New Jersey emerged the winner. It has been declared the upcoming three Super Bowls will be held in Dallas, Indianapolis and New Orleans.

Once this stadium is built I think it will make a great venue. And I so hope that it’s snowing like all get out for a real football game.
