Camoranesi limps off during Italy’s training
SESTRIERE, Italy — Midfielder Mauro Camoranesi has limped off Italy’s training field with an apparent left leg injury.
Injury details were not immediately available, and it was unclear if the problem would put Camoranesi’s status on Italy’s final 23-man World Cup squad in jeopardy.
Coach Marcello Lippi was due to announce the squad later Tuesday, and he needs to cut five players from his current 28-man team.
After a difficult season at Juventus, Camoranesi had been on the bubble, but his form had improved in recent days.
