Awareness rally by specially-abled children in Himachal Pradesh

SOLAN - Specially-abled children staged an awareness rally under the banner of ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan city.
With the march organized on Tuesday, the children wanted to make the people aware of their abilities in sports and other activities.
Sports Director of ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ Rashim Dhar Sood said the main reason of holding the rally was to minimize the gap between specially-abled children and others.
“The children are giving a message to the nation and to the public that we all are one and we are not different from other people, so we are not disabled, we are able and we are special and we have a brain, we have strength to work with you. This is the message which our rally gave to the public,” said Rashim Dhar Sood.
Over 240 children and 50 volunteers of different organizations participated in the rally.
“I want to give a message that people should not treat us as different from others. We are trying to say through this rally that we can do things like any other children. We want to move forward and grow,” said Gaurav, Specially-abled child. (ANI)
