Cricket camp organized for specially-abled children in Himachal Pradesh

Solan (Himachal Pradesh), June 3 (ANI): The ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ initiative organised a weeklong cricket coaching camp for specially-abled children in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan city.
Over 240 specially-abled boys and girls joined the cricket coaching camp that began on May 29 and concluded on June 30.
“It is a North Zone cricket coaching camp and for Himachal it is a big thing because we have not done any cricket coaching camp in the state,” said Rashim Dhar Sood, Sports Director of Special Olympics Bharat.
The cricket camp witnessed the participation of children from Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
The participants got the opportunity to learn a lot of cricketing tips at the camp.
“Here in Solan for the first time, cricket camp is organised. We come here to learn and we are learning lots of things, and coaches are also giving good training,” said Kunal, a participant.
Coaches here have made amendments in the cricket designed for the specially-abled athletes and also introduced special techniques for them. (ANI)
