England squad unchanged for Edgbaston Test against Pakistan

LONDON - England has retained the 12-man squad that won the Test series opener against Pakistan for the second at Edgbaston, starting on Friday.
Fast bowler Tim Bresnan was the 12th man in the team that won the first Test of the four-match series by 354 runs inside four days.
Barring injuries, the same side is set to play at Edgbaston.
“Clearly we were delighted with the performance in the first Test but the key to consistency is building on that success throughout the rest of the series,” The Telegraph quoted Geoff Miller, England national selector, as saying.
“We saw a number of outstanding performances at Trent Bridge not only with bat and ball but also in the field and the challenge is to maintain those standards over the next three Test matches,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has recalled former captain Mohammad Yousuf, who had quit international cricket in March in protest at his suspension after the Australia tour.he 35-year-old’s availability may depend on whether a visa can be organized in time.
The team management has also dropped leg-spinner Danish Kaneria. He has been replaced by 18-year-old left-arm spinner Raza Hasan.
Kaneria has been released to play county cricket for Essex after a dismal performance in the first Test in which he claimed 1-171 off 33 overs.
