Harbhajan Singh will play Mohali Test, despite calf injury: Michael Clarke

CHANDIGARH - Australian cricketer Michael Clarke on Tuesday said that he is confident that Harbhajan Singh will play in the first Test match of the India-Australia Test series beginning on October 1 at Mohali’s Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium despite reports of an injury for the Indian off-spinner.
“I am very confident, Harbhajan will play. I saw his bowling yesterday after the days play, I know how much he loves to play with Australia, So it would, I’ll be very surprising if he doesn’t play,” said Clarke, while addressing a press conference here today.
“Harbhajan is a very good player and has had a lot of success against the Australia. So, if he does not play that will be a huge bonus for Australia, but I am very confident he will come up fit for the game,” he added.
Talking about the conditions and adjustment of the international players, Clark said: “You got completely different conditions, completely for the oppositions you are playing against, completely different format, you know. So you have to be able to adjust I nothing else probably the toughest thing about international cricket these days, you got three forms of the game.”
“In so many different conditions around the world, but you know its a great challenge, what you look forward to, its having success all around the world is what makes you icon of international cricket, I guess,” he added.
Harbhajan Singh underwent an MRI scan at a private hospital in Mohali on Monday after suffering a side sprain. (ANI)
