Rain Rain go away, Kochi wants to host Indo-Aussie one-day

KOCHI - With just 11 days to go for the first one day international match between India and Australia, every cricket lover here is hoping for the rains to go away.

But with heavy rains lashing Kochi since the past two days and more rainfall predicted for the week, it is unlikely that cricket lovers will get to see the full quota of 100 overs.

However, T.C. Mathew, secretary of the Kerala Cricket Association, was optimistic. “We need just two dry days before the match and then the job is done. Everything is ready and we are sure the rains will keep away,” he said
