India beat Australia in Bangalore Test to wrap up series 2-0

BANGALORE - India scored an emphatic seven-wicket win over Australia in the second and last cricket Test to clinch the series 2-0 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here Wednesday.

India chased down the victory target of 207 runs with Cheteswar Pujara (72), promoted up the batting order, scoring his maiden half century.

Sachin Tendulkar (53) and Rahul Dravid (21) took India home with an unbeaten 61-run stand after Pujara and first innings centurion Murali Vijay (37) laid the foundation of the chase with a fluent 72-run partnership for the second wicket.

Earlier, India bowled out Australia for 223 runs in their second innings. The visitors made 478 in their first innings and India replied by scoring 495 with Tendulkar scoring 214.

India beat Australia by one wicket in the first Test at Mohali.
