Bowlers like Warne, Kumble come once every three or four generations: Muralidaran

MELBOURNE - Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralidaran believes that it will be very difficult to find bowlers similar to him and his Australian and India counterparts -Shane Warne and Anil Kumble.
“Bowlers like this come once every three or four generations. You won’t find another Warne,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Muralidaran, as saying.
“It’s hard for someone to play 20 years of Test cricket. You will get good bowlers, but not that high,” he added.
The 39-year-old further said that the quality that makes them special is their passion for playing cricket.
“We both loved bowling. If a person does not like bowling with hot sun and batsmen scoring then he won’t make it. We were always happy to bowl. Same with [Anil] Kumble. Don’t forget about him. That was our greatest quality,” Muralidaran said.
“Warne is a bit ahead of me because he has a better knowledge than any other bowler. He showed it as a captain as well. Unfortunately, he could not captain Australia,” he added.
The ongoing tour will be Muralidaran’s last tour of Australia before retiring from international cricket after the World Cup. (ANI)
