New Zealand replace injured Bennett with Franklin for India Test series

HYDERABAD - New Zealand has recalled left-arm fast bowler James Franklin to replace injured Hamish Bennett for the ongoing Test series against India.
“New Zealand Cricket has advised that James Franklin has been called into the Blackcaps squad for the remainder of the Test series in India, replacing the injured Hamish Bennett,” the NZC said in a statement.
Bennett is being sent home for treatment on a groin strain picked up on the first day of the first Test which ended in a draw on Monday.
“Hamish is not available for the next test and unfortunately he’d be marginal for the third Test,” Stuff.co.nz quoted coach Mark Greatbatch, as saying.
The second Test will be played in Hyderabad from November 12-16, while the third Test will be played in Nagpur from November 20-24. (ANI)
