LONDON - British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton provoked an outrage on Twitter when he launched a foul-mouthed rant reportedly after being angry with users mocking his writing style on the social networking site.
“To those of you who care, thanks for your support, am on here for you. To all you haters… I just don’t give a f*** haha,” the Daily Mail quoted Hamilton’s post on Tuesday, as saying.
The comments outraged some of Hamilton’s 53,000 followers, who expressed anger at the choice of language adopted by the F1 star.
The reactions later forced the 25-year-old to delete the comment and apologize for any offence he might have caused.
“Aight, to my young peeps I apologize for the language. Am not venting, I’m always chill. Was not aimed at u. God bless,” Hamilton wrote.
“lol is an understatement. This twitter thing is funny. So many people getting all stressed n what not:),” he added.
Hamilton, who finished fourth in this year’s drivers’ championship, is currently on holiday in New York with his long-term girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger. (ANI)
