LONDON - Former England fast bowler Darren Gough has said that his time on British television show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ had given him the confidence to break into the entertainment industry.

Gough admitted that without the popular dance show he would not have had the conviction to pursue a television career.

“I was the outsider from week one and surprised everyone by the end. I improved throughout the series and shocked everyone,” the Daily Express quoted Gough, as saying.

“I loved it, to be honest I am never going to be one to admit that I’m a good dancer, I would not go that far, but I did really enjoyed it.”

“It was a great experience and it taught me new things and it gave me confidence to do things which I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do before. It’s definitely one thing you don’t associate with a cricket player from Yorkshire. It was fantastic,” he added.

The 40-year-old has launched a new cooking show in a bid to inspire men to give women a break and give cooking a go this holiday season. (ANI)
