No player in world can take Frank Lampard’s place: Ancelotti

LONDON - Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that no player in the world can take the place of midfielder Frank Lampard.
The midfielder is preparing to start his first game since August 28, as Chelsea look to get their title defence back on track at Arsenal tonight.
Ancelotti is convinced Lampard’s return will help propel the Blues back to the top of the Premier League table, The Sun reports.
“There is no player in the market capable of replacing Lampard. He has character, ability, always runs hard and is so professional. I don’t like players who talk but don’t run. Frank saves all his breath for on the pitch and that is the best image for any player,” he said.
“And, of course, he also has the ability to score 20 goals a season from midfield, so I am very happy to have him back. It’s very important to have his support in our attacking play and when we have the ball. That will increase our possibility to score,” Ancelotti said.
Lampard has scored at least 20 goals for Chelsea for the past five seasons. This season he has just one goal to his credit after undergoing surgery to correct a persistent groin problem. (ANI)
