NEW YORK - After entertaining offers from a number of publishers, tennis great Monica Seles has sold a young-adult novel series to Bloomsbury.

According to the New York Post, “The Academy” will follow a group of young athletic prodigies as they make their way through an elite sports academy, competing for recognition, love, money and fame.

The former world No. 1’s own court talents were honed at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, one of IMG’s sports academies in Bradenton, Florida.

The first book in the series is due out next year. (ANI)
