Tiger Woods removed from cover of his own video game

LONDON - Golfer Tiger Woods has been dropped from the box cover of the latest Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12.
Despite being dumped by some of his major sponsors after revelations of his marital infidelities, EA Sports have continued their support for the disgraced golfer.
But while most of the box art for the new version does not include Woods, EA Sports president Peter Moore denied it was due to any desire to distance the company from the golfer.
“If the insinuation is ‘is this a reflection of EA Sports backing away from its relationship that goes back 13 years’, that’s not the case whatsoever,” the Daily Mail quoted Moore as saying.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 will be available on the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 consoles, and feature the Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. And a version without the Masters will be available for the iPhone and iPad.
The video game publisher said it would begin selling Tour 12 worldwide on April 1, two days after it debuts in North America.
And Moores said pent-up demand for a video game focusing on the famous Masters course would drive “considerable sales”. (ANI)
