LONDON - Boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s daughter Laila, who is pregnant with her second child, walked the ramp in a figure-hugging dress at a charity fashion show in New York.
The former boxer joined celebrities Dita Von Teese, Denise Richards, Taraji P. Henson and Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, model Camila Alves, at the Heart Truth’s Red Dress Fashion Show to raise awareness for heart disease, reports the Daily Mail.
The 33-year-old is just a month away from giving birth to her second child, a girl, and was thrilled to be flying the flag for expectant mothers.
Before taking to the stage, in her dress by maternity fashion line, A Pea in the Pod, she said: “I’m looking forward to being the only pregnant girl in the fashion show with my red dress.”
“I’m gonna strut my stuff down that runway and it’s always great to be a part of something that’s for a good cause. Heart disease is the leading killer of women and I’m just happy to be a part of this event,” she said.
Laila, who competed in Dancing with the Stars after hanging up her boxing gloves, says she has been careful not to pile on the pounds during her pregnancy.
“There’s no extra weight gain. I have to watch what I eat. I’m a big girl to begin with so I’m walking around like 205 right now. Big girl,” she told Access Hollywood. (ANI)
