MORADABAD - Cricket fans in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday created a 45-feet tall bat to cheer Team India, ahead of their World Cup match against England.

About 500 students and some craftsmen took 15 days to make the bat.

Sugandha Sharma, a student said: “We want to send our best wishes to Team India through this bat. I want the whole of India to cheer the team so that they will win this World Cup”

India will play England on Sunday.

“We have expressed our thoughts and emotions through this bat. Everyone is doing something or the other to cheer the team. This is a gift from our side to them,” said Shobhit Chatterjee, another student.

In India, cricket is like a religion and cricket stars are revered as gods.(ANI)
