Shoaib Malik named Pak captain for Hong Kong Super Sixes

LAHORE - Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik will lead the country’s challenge in next month’s Super Sixes in Hong Kong.

Malik will lead a seven-member second-string Pakistan team for the Hong Kong event that will be held on November 6 and 7.

“We have selected Malik to lead the team for the Hong Kong Super Sixes,” the Daily Times quoted Mohsin Khan, Pakistan’s chief selector, as saying.

The 28-year-old, who was the captain of the national team until January last year, has been overlooked for the upcoming series against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Besides Pakistan, teams from Australia, India, England, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa and Sri Lanka will take part in the tournament.

The teams for the tournament comprises of six players with one substitute. (ANI)
