PARIS - India’s Leander Paes and Czech Lukas Dlouhy have been seeded third while Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahamian partner Mark Knowles are seeded fourth in the French Open tennis doubles event.
Paes and Dlouhy, who had to pull out of the last week’s Madrid Masters due to the latter’s illness, will open their campaign here against Frenchmen Sebastien De Chaunac and Benoit Paire.
Bhupathi and Knowles, who had made a first round exit in the Madrid, will square up against French pair Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Josselin Ouanna. Tsonga partnering Julien Benneteau had beaten the Indo-Bahamian pair in the first round of Miami Open.
Also in the fray is Rohan Bopanna who with Israeli Jonathan Erlich will take on Spain’s Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Argentina’s Sergio Roitman in the first round.
In the women’s doubles, Sania Mirza partnering Chia-Jung Chuang of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) have been seeded 14th and will play Turkey’s Ipek Senoglu and Belgium’s Yanina Wickmayer.
