2010 Giro to start in Amsterdam

ROME — Next year’s Giro d’Italia will start in Amsterdam and the first three stages will be contested in the Netherlands.

Race organizers announced on Sunday that the 2010 race will begin May 8 in Amsterdam. The next stage will go through Utrecht and the third leg will pass through Middelburg.

The full route will be unveiled at the end of the year.
