Figure skater Michelle Kwan adding ‘college graduate’ to list of accolades

DENVER — Two-time Olympic medal-winning figure skater Michelle Kwan will get a college diploma to add to her list of honors.

Kwan has been attending the University of Denver and on Saturday she will receive a bachelor’s degree in international studies with a minor in political science during an undergraduate commencement ceremony.

The 28-year-old from Torrance, Calif., came to Denver in 2006 with a year’s worth of credits from UCLA. She is a nine-time U.S. champion and five-time world champion skater.
