Indianapolis Tennis Championships gets 3 more Americans, tallest player in tennis history

3 Americans commit to Indianapolis tournament
INDIANAPOLIS — Americans Vincent Spadea (SPAY’-dee-ah), John Isner and Bobby Reynolds have announced they will play in next month’s Indianapolis Tennis Championships.
Also joining the field are 6-foot-10 Croatian Ivo Karlovic (EE’-voh KAHR’-loh-vihch) and Ernests Gulbis of Latvia. The 36th-ranked Karlovic is the tallest player on tour. The 20-year-old Gulbis is currently No. 74.
Spadea is 8-9 in nine previous appearances at Indianapolis and was the tournament’s 1999 runner-up. He played in 28 consecutive grand slam tournaments before missing this year’s French Open.
The tourney runs July 18-26.
