FRANKFURT — Timo Bracht of Germany has won the men’s race at the Frankfurt Ironman and compatriot Sandra Wallenhorst took the women’s division on a day in which temperatures climbed to 86 degrees.
Bracht completed the 2.36-mile swim, 111.85-mile ride and 26.22-mile run in a course record of 7 hours, 59 minutes, 15 seconds on Sunday — shaving 39 seconds off the mark set last year by Australian Chris McCormack, who finished third.
