4 Monaco players treated for swine flu
MONACO — French league club Monaco says four of its soccer players are being treated for swine flu.
Names of the players were not disclosed, and the club said they are expected to make full recoveries after taking medication to treat the H1N1 virus.
Monaco doctor Philippe Kuentz said on the club’s Web site Saturday that the four will be “kept in isolation for a period of five days” as a precautionary measure.
They began showing signs of a fever during the club’s training camp in Vichy on Friday.
Recently, rugby player Maxime Medard was treated for swine flu after returning from a southern hemisphere tour, where France played Australia and New Zealand.
