Paes, Black lose mixed doubles final

New York, Sept 11 (IBNS)Wildcard entries American Travis Parrott and Carly Gullickson beat India’s Leander Paes and Zimbabwe’s Cara Black 2-6, 4-6 in the mixed doubles final of the US Open tennis tournament here on Thursday.
Defending champions Paes and Black hardly put up a fight and lost in just over an hour.
For the second successive year, Paes was in line for two titles in the US Open, having reached the doubles final with Lukas Dlouhy of Czech Republic.
Last year he won the mixed doubles with Black but lost in the men’s doubles final.
Leander and Dlouhy would meet Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas in the doubles final.
