MONZA - The Formula One Racing team Force India on Saturday continued with its success in F1, as its driver Adrian Sutil managed second place in the qualifying session for Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Sutil’s success put Force India on the front row for the second straight race. He was 0.195 seconds behind World champion Lewis Hamilton, who took the pole position after lapping the 5.793-km circuit in a time of one minute 24.066 seconds.

Sutil could have taken the pole had he not committed a mistake at the first Lesmo corner on his final lap.

The second Force India driver Vitantonio Liuzzi, who is making his first F1 appearance since 2007, displayed a commendable show to come in seventh, while former Force India driver Giancarlo Fisichella, who will start his first race for Ferrari, came in 14th, Sky Sports reported on Saturday evening.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen came third, while McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen came fourth.

Championship leader Jenson Button qualified sixth, with Brawn GP team mate and closest title rival Rubens Barrichello alongside him in fifth place. (ANI)
