Storm Cat colt fetches $360k at Keeneland sale

LEXINGTON, Ky. — One of Kentucky’s top horse farms has kicked off the sale of its horses by fetching $360,000 for a Storm Cat colt.

Overbrook Farm, which was home to the former top stallion Storm Cat, started selling nearly its entire stock of horses Monday at Keeneland. About 50 yearlings were up for sale from the farm.

The Storm Cat colt’s sale for $360,000 was the highest price recorded through the early auction during the opening session of the sale.

Keeneland has catalogued 5,189 yearlings for the sale, which goes through Sept. 28.
