Coyotes assistant coach home after hospital trip

GLENDALE, Ariz. — New Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Dave King has been released from a Seattle-area hospital after undergoing a battery of tests.

Team spokesman Sergey Kocharov says that the 61-year-old King had not been feeling well before a preseason game on Tuesday night in Everett, Wash. King was taken to the hospital, where he underwent several tests.

Kocharov says King was released and returned to Phoenix on Wednesday, and he is expected to rejoin the team for practice on Thursday. King, a former head coach with Calgary and Columbus, joined the Coyotes this week as an assistant to interim coach Ulf Samuelsson.
