SINGAPORE - Force India’s German driver Adrian Sutil has been fined $20,000 after being found guilty of causing a crash with BMW-Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld during Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.

Sutil was attempting to overtake a Toro Rosso in the 21st lap of the night race, but then collided with Heidfeld, who had to retire immediately.

Sutil withdrew three laps later and race stewards said at the time that they would investigate the crash after the race.
