Joey Logano wins poll for Nationwide race
FONTANA, Calif. — Joey Logano has grabbed the pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide race at Auto Club Speedway.
The 19-year-old driver posted a lap of 181.164 mph in his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
Series points leader and JRG teammate Kyle Busch will start second. Busch had been feeling ill Friday but had recovered well enough to qualify. Busch has led a record 2,226 laps and won six races this year, including the February race at California.
Carl Edwards will start 15th in the 150-lap race at the 2-mile oval. He trails Busch by 245 points in the season standings.
