New York Yankees celebrated the 99th birthday of their public address announcer, Bob Sheppard with a 10-1 victory on the Los Angeles Angels team. The public address announcer was given standing ovation on his birthday. Other than the Yankees, Bob Shepperd was also New York Giants’ public address announcer. Yankees win has come as a gift to Mr. Shepperd.

With the 10-1 victory on the Tuesday match, the Yankees has moved to a strong position in the American League Championship Series. C.C. Sabathia had played a spectacular game on Tuesday. Yankees had given him a short period to rest and his performance showed that he was completely charged up during this period. From the initial stages of his innings he was found to play an offensive game which helped in increasing the score of Yankees.

Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera and Johnny Damon had also played well in the game. The players of Yankees had shown excellent coordination in the match and did not allow Los Angeles Angels to score much points in the game. Angels who had narrowed down the difference between the scores of the teams has once again come under pressure. They were fully dominated by the Yankees in the match and could not make much moves in the game. Yankees is having a good team this season and have made some successful game strategies. They would give their best to win the series in the next match. It appears that the Angels would have to work hard if they want to restrict the Yankees from winning the coming matches. It can be imagined well that the win was the most special gift for Bob Sheppard.
