SE Louisiana defeats Oklahoma Science 99-50
HAMMOND, La. — Damon Forest scored 19 points and Southeastern Louisiana defeated Oklahoma Science 99-50 on Friday night.
Patrick Sullivan added a double-double for the Lions with 18 points and 10 rebounds in their season opener.
Southeastern Louisiana hit 10 of 20 from 3-point range (50 percent) and turned 26 Drovers’ turnovers into 40 points.
With the game tied at 11, the Lions went on a 24-2 run to take a 35-13 lead on a 3-pointer by Gary Dixon with 6:43 left in the first half.
The Lions then shot 65 percent in the second half (22 of 34), including 13 points by Forest on 5-of-11 shooting.
David Ndoumba gave Southeastern Louisiana its largest lead, 93-39, on a layup with 4:18 left to play.
Fred Savoie scored 18 points for the Drovers, an NAIA school. Oklahoma Science shot 31 percent from the floor (19 of 61).
