Wisconsin-Green Bay defeats Rochester 77-51
KENT, Ohio — Seth Evans had 19 points and five assists to lead Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 77-51 victory over Rochester College (Mich.) on Monday night.
Evans, who hit five 3-pointers in the game, scored 13 points in the first half of the Hispanic College Fund Classic. The Phoenix (3-1) never trailed while taking a 47-29 lead into intermission.
The Warriors opened the second half with a 12-0 run, eventually pulling within 49-45 with 13:59 left. Rochester (6-2) then scored only one point over the next 8:14 as Green Bay built a 64-46 lead.
Troy Cotton added 11 points for the Phoenix and Rian Pearson had 10.
Ricky Doran led Rochester, an NAIA school, with 15 points and six rebounds while Marques Ewell chipped in 13 and Stephan Henning had 11.
Green Bay outrebounded the Warriors 39-28.
Rochester had 21 turnovers compared to 13 for the Phoenix.
