Tiger Woods takes blame for car smash

LONDON - Tiger Woods has taken responsibility for the recent car accident that left him with cuts and bruises.
The crash happened after Thanksgiving, outside the ace golfer’s mansion in Florida.
The world No1 was said to have stormed out of the house and jumped into his car following a heated argument with wife Elin Nordegren, 29, over reports of romance with New York socialite Rachel Uchitel, 34.
His SUV ploughed into a fire hydrant and a tree and rumours emerged that his wife attacked the car with one of his clubs in a fit of jealous rage.
The 33-year-old, who refused to speak to cops for a third time, has now slammed the allegations claiming his wife assaulted him.
“I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore. This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me,” the Sun quoted him as telling fans in a statement on his website.
“I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again. The many false, unfounded and malicious rumours that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible. The only person responsible for the accident is me.
“My wife Elin acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false,” he added. (ANI)
