Nadal beats Hajek for 4-0 Spain lead in final

BARCELONA, Spain — Rafael Nadal has beaten Jan Hajek 6-3, 6-4 to stretch Davis Cup champion Spain’s lead over the Czech Republic to 4-0 in the best-of-five final.

Spain clinched its fourth title with a doubles victory on Saturday.

Nadal won his opening singles match Friday and improved his unbeaten run on clay to 12 in his first meeting with the 102nd-ranked Czech, who replaced Radek Stepanek for the meaningless match.

David Ferrer was to play Lukas Dlouhy later Sunday.
