NEW DELHI - Railways kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinals after they reduced Punjab to 154 for four in the first innings on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Super League match at the Karni Singh Stadium here Wedneday.

Resuming at their overnight score of 191 for six, Railways were all out for 276 after Karan Sharma hit 59 at the Karni Singh Stadium.

In reply, Mayank Sidhana hit 54 and Uday Kaul was batting on 46 as Punjab reduced the deficit to 122 at stumps.

Railways could have got Punjab out cheaply but skipper Murali Kartik, Sanjay Bangar and Yere Goud were guilty of dropping some easy catches.
