Thomas scores 42 as Ole Miss tops No. 12 LSU 80-71
OXFORD, Miss. — Bianca Thomas scored a career-high 42 points, including 28 in the second half, to lead Mississippi past No. 12 LSU 80-71 on Sunday.
Thomas, who leads the SEC in scoring with 21.7 points per game, scored 23 points in the final 12 minutes. Thomas, who added eight rebounds and two steals, set a Tad Smith Coliseum women’s record for points scored.
Elizabeth Robertson added 14 points for Ole Miss (12-5, 3-1 Southeastern Conference).
LaSondra Barrett had 30 points and 10 rebounds and Allison Hightower scored 13 points for LSU (13-3, 2-2), which has dropped two straight.
The Lady Tigers pulled to 62-60 on a three-point play by Courtney Jones with 8:21 left, but Ole Miss answered with a 7-0 run to put the game away.
