Sania Mirza Engagement Broken : Sania Mirza Single Again

HYDERABAD, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Sania Mirza, the 57th WTA ranked Indian Tennis icon doesn’t seem to have a brilliant start of 2010. Struggling on the field with her poor performance at the season’s first Grand Slam Australian Open, her off field life is now in deep trouble.
The 23-year old Hyderabadi beauty’s engagement has been called off by her father Imran Mirza, sources said.
The lustrous engagement ceremony took place at a luxury hotel near Sania’s resident at Banzara Hills last year, on July 10. Sania got engaged with her long time family friend Sohrab Mirza, currently pursuing his business studies in UK. Many got broken heart with Sania being engaged.
While Sania was questioned about her break-up, She refused to cite any reason behind her ill-fated engagement. She has only confirmed the news.
Sania said, “We were friends for half a decade, but found ourselves incompatible during our engagement period. I wish Sohrab the best in life.”
Currently, Sania has turned her focus on to the tennis court, also to get rid of her off field jeopardy. She is now in Kuala Lumpur to lead India’s challenge in the Fed Cup Asia Oceania Group II competition, starting February 2.
