Kapur drops one place at Qatar Masters

DOHA - Shiv Kapur dropped one place from overnight 57th to 56th as he carded a one-over 73 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters here Saturday.
Kapur dropped a bogey on the sixth but got the shot back on the 10th with a birdie. Thereafter, barring the bogey on the 12th, it was an incident-free stretch.
Kapur, who shot rounds of 74 and 72 on first two days, is now at three-over 219.
Jyoti Randhawa, the other Indian to make the cut, had an agonizing time with a round of 76. He had one birdie, three bogeys and a double bogey on sixth. He shot 77 and 69 in his first two rounds and is now placed 65th at six-over.
SSP Chowrasia missed the cut with rounds of 75 and 78. Jeev Milkha Singh missed the event to be with his wife, Kudrat, who gave birth to their first child Friday.
Paul Casey and Bradley Dredge shared the lead and they both go into the final round at 10-under par after establishing a joint one shot lead.
Casey shot a sublime 66 while Dredge recovered well from a double bogey at the fifth for a two under par 70.
Reigning Race to Dubai champion Lee Westwood leads the chasing pack at nine under, one ahead of his predecessor as European No. 1 Robert Karlsson and halfway leader Brett Rumford.
