ARCADIA, Calif. — Porto Marmay defeated She’s Cheeky by a length to win the $68,200 Wishing Well Handicap for fillies and mares at Santa Anita on Friday.
Ridden by Chantal Sutherland, Porto Marmay covered 6½ furlongs on the turf in 1:12.89 and paid $24.20, $11.60 and $7.60.
She’s Cheeky returned $12.80 and $7.80, while Skedee paid $11.60.
Dreamt, the 2-1 wagering favorite in the field of 10, finished fifth.
The victory, worth $39,720, increased Porto Marmay’s career earnings to $226,983, with five wins in 19 starts.
